Applications are now invited to join the next cohort of the Executive Leadership Programme (ELP).
Now in its 10th year, the ELP is designed specifically to support those who wish to take up a strategic leadership role in our evolving public service.
The programme offers significant personal development opportunities through the five modules over the course of the year which are designed to equip delegates with the confidence and skills to tackle the issues faced by leaders of today’s Fire and Rescue Service.
Through engagement with leaders who have faced real challenges within their organisations, delegates will have the opportunity to learn from these experiences as well as reflect on their own readiness to accept such challenges.
Candidates wishing to join the 2017 cohort, will need to apply to participate in the Gateway Assessment Centre which will take place at the Fire Service College on 31st October and 1st and 2nd November 2016.
The ELP is open to all staff who are already in or likely to be in a strategic leadership position in the near future.
Candidates must be supported by their Chief Fire Officer and will need available to attend one of the assessment centre dates above as well as all five modules in 2017:
- 23rd-26th January
- 20th-22nd February
- 24th-27th April
- 19th-22nd June
- 18th-21st September
Candidates will be awarded a post graduate certificate in strategic leadership upon successful completion of the course.
